Preparing For 2013

With a new year brings new goals and resolutions. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on what we want to accomplish during the upcoming twelve months. Whether it be becoming healthier in 2013 or learning to save more and spend less, make these adjustments for the long term. Challenge yourself and set goals that will bring positive changes. Step outside of your comfort zone and sign up for a cooking or pilates class, make that appointment you have been procrastinating around, or put a priority on paying off your credit card every month. Whatever inspiration the New Year brings you, just keep in mind that slow and steady wins the race. This is your year and you can accomplish anything you put your mind to!

My Top 3 Are:

  1. Go back to school (anxious and nervous about this one!)
  2. Continue to build my emergency fund.
  3. Put a priority on my happiness. It has been a long time since I have only had to worry about myself. The past few years I had taken on the responsibility of caring for my brother and most recently my sister. Now that my brother is away at college and my sister is with my mom, I have an opportunity to focus on myself. It may sound selfish, but I am going to take advantage of this new chapter in my life and learn to put more of a priority on my own future.
