Aspirin: Super Pill?
When you think of aspirin, the word ‘pain-killer’ is usually the first thing that comes into your mind. It can cure a headache and body pain, along with preventing heart attacks and strokes. But now, studies have shown NSAIDS, such as aspirin, may have even more uses. This common pill has been shown to have anti-cancer benefits if taken properly; one baby aspirin a few times a week would be efficient. In addition to colon, prostate and lung cancer, aspirin may also lower the risk of some skin cancers by 13%, like melanoma. Although not a cure, this is encouraging news since melanoma is the most dangerous skin cancer in the United States. Continue protecting your skin from the sun, and maybe add an aspirin to your weekly regimen as well.
