Put some pep in your step with this nutritious, healthy snack. Edamames are soybeans in pods. They derive from Asia and are packed with nutrients, such as protein and fiber. Since I am not a big meat eater, I am always looking for new ways to add protein into my diet, and edamames are perfect. They are one of my favorite things to snack on between meals or if I feel like I need a little energy. They are found in the frozen section of the grocery store and are quick and easy to make. I put the bag in the microwave and in less than 6 minutes, they are ready to eat. Sometimes I sprinkle a pinch of salt on top, but they taste delicious either way and can be eaten hot or cold.
