How To Maintain Beautiful, Blemish-Free Skin
- Wash your face twice a day – once in the morning and once before bedtime
- Always have a clean face before bed, remove all traces of makeup
- Try to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly
- Resist the temptation to pick and squeeze any pimples or potential breakouts
- Drink eight 8 ounces of water a day to maintain clear skin and keep your digestive system clean (Adding a slice of freshly squeezed lemon is a plus!)
- Apply a layer of zit cream containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to any potential breakouts. Clearasil acne treatment or Proactiv’s refining mask usually work for me
- Change your pillow cases at least once a week
- Try to sleep on your back to avoid future wrinkles from forming
- Exfoliate no more than 3 times a week; I like St. Ives apricot scrub
- Carry oil absorbing sheets with you if your skin tends to be oily
- Apply a moisturizer containing at least SPF 15 to your face and décolleté before going outside
- After washing your face before bed, it is not necessary to use a moisturizer with SPF, because it could aggravate and irritate your skin
